and tips
Start by going through the four chapters in order: the first presents the test as a whole, and the next three cover each exam section in detail (Listening, Structure & Written Expression, Reading).
This page brings together general vocabulary (by level) and academic vocabulary useful for the TOEFL ITP.
— General vocabulary: focus on the level just above the one you obtained on the diagnostic test.
— Specific vocabulary: note down the words you do not know yet.
Select the words you want to remember to build your personal lists, then learn them from your dashboard.
exercises 6 sets
Word lists fade unless you test them. Each 8-question set mirrors a real test format — Reading vocabulary in context, Part A idioms, linking words. Review a list in the Vocabulary chapter, then take the matching set here: recall in context is what sticks on exam day.
A large part of your ITP score depends on the Listening section: work through the 11 phonology chapters to sharpen your ear (sounds, stress, reduced forms).
- Complete all exercises to consolidate your progress.
The Structure & Written Expression section offers the best return on effort: every rule you learn earns points immediately. The 12 chapters follow the frequency order of the tested points — work through them in order, take each chapter's quiz, then consolidate with the training-by-task exercises (sentence completion and error identification).
by task 6 types
Work on each exercise type in isolation (10 exercises per type) before taking full mock tests. Recommended priority: the types where your success rate is lowest.

Take the tests under real conditions: all three sections in a row, timed (~1 h 55). Then review the detailed answer key, especially missed Structure & Written Expression questions — that is where progress comes fastest.
