To award its engineering degree, the Bordeaux Polytechnic Institute (Bordeaux INP) requires a B2 level of English, set in the academic regulations of its internal schools at a minimum TOEIC score of 785 (or equivalent). This threshold is a condition for obtaining the engineering title, as required by France's engineering accreditation body (CTI). Students who fail the test at the end of the programme are given extra time to retake the certification.

This institution also accepts: TOEFL iBT, IELTS.
