The treaty of Arras — The peace of 21 September 1435 between Charles VII and the Duke of Burgundy, closing the civil war
Sixteen years after the bridge of Montereau, the king had the Duke of Burgundy told that his father’s death had been « wickedly and evilly done », ceded him the Mâconnais, and released him from homage. So ended the civil war of Armagnacs and Burgundians; the English, who had left the conference, lost their ally and soon Paris. (Editorial synthesis)
The treaty of Arras took place on 21 September 1435 (Julian calendar). (source: Encyclopædia Britannica)
