Entry
Saint Remigius — The bishop of Reims who baptised Clovis, c. 437–533
Son of a count of Laon, bishop of Reims at twenty-two, he governed his Church for seventy-four years and won the confidence of the King of the Franks, who, tradition has it, sought to return the vase of Soissons to him. He baptised Clovis and his warriors at Reims on a Christmas Day, founded bishoprics on the lands the king gave him, and the Church called him the Apostle of the Franks. (Editorial synthesis)

When a piece of information is not in that collection, the encyclopedia says so rather than inventing it — that principle is what makes every answer it does give trustworthy.
