Charles the Bold — Last Duke of Burgundy of the house of Valois, died in 1477
Only legitimate son of Philip the Good, cousin and adversary of Louis XI, whom he held prisoner at Péronne, he sought to weld his Burgundian and Netherlandish states into a kingdom between France and the Empire. Beaten by the Swiss at Grandson and Morat, he died a few months later, and his body was found in the snow; his daughter carried the inheritance to the Habsburgs. (Editorial synthesis)

When a piece of information is not in that collection, the encyclopedia says so rather than inventing it — that principle is what makes every answer it does give trustworthy.
